After the stupendous success of Breathe season (2018) one starring R Madhvan, Amit Sadh among others in a pivotal role. The makers of Amazon Prime Video bring a slew of entertaining and psychological thriller 'Breathe: Into the Shadows'. The fresh season marks the digital debut of Bollywood superstar Abhishek Bachchan. The show also sees the return of acclaimed actor Amit Sadh in his award-winning role as senior inspector Kabir Sawant, and features one of South India’s leading actors, Nithya Menen, who makes her digital debut too.
Here’s what we have to say about the never-ending, tedious
web show comprising of 12 episodes of one hour each.
A 6-year old girl is kidnapped by a mysterious masked man, who demands an unusual ransom. To save his daughter, Dr Avinash Sabharwal must kill someone! Meanwhile, Kabir Sawant continues his pursuit for justice in the hostile environment of the Delhi Crime branch. A chaotic world of lies, deceit and mind games open when Kabir is given charge of handing the case of serial killing done by Avinash.
Talking about the acting calibre each and every actor has outshined with their performance. Making his digital debut and coming back on-screen after a hiatus, Abhishek Bachchan as Avinash Sabharwal steals the show. Nithya Menen as Abha Sabharwal as a soft-hearted woman, an over-caring mother, does a fine job. She turns out to be one of the key supporters in the screenplay.
Amit Sadh is like the whole and soul of Breathe right from season one. His expressions and body language are beyond words.Cute and adorable Ivana Kaur as Siya Sabharwal, daughter of Avinash and Abha Sabharwal does complete justice to her part. Saiyami Kher, Plabita Borthakur as Kabir’s love interested Meghna Verma, Hrishikesh Joshi as Prakash Kamble, Shrikant Verma as Jaiprakash and Sunil Gupta as Tejinder Singh does complete justice to the narrative.
'Breathe season 2' falls flat to crate the required thrill
and zest needed for a psychological drama. The slow-paced screenplay and lacklustre
script started blisteringly after the first five episodes. By the time you reach
the end of the ninth episode, you would know the climax of the show.
Watch it for Abhishek Bachchan's nail-biting performance!
United Voice Media give 3.5 stars to 'Breathe:Into The Shadows'. Binge watch this weekend.
