Ahsaas Channa and Ayushi Gupta get candid about shooting tough scenes for web series Hostel Daze Season 2
What we saw from the trailer of Hostel Daze Season 2, dropped yesterday, gave us happy tears and an ocean full of our college memories to dig into . The tables have turned since our 'freshies' have now become seniors. Fans of the show are now counting the days as they can’t wait to watch the new season to see how the story takes off from where it ended in season 1. All things said, the series is surely going to make everyone laugh and definitely shed happy tears for all the memories one made during their college life. The lead cast - Adarsh Gourav, Luv Vispute, Shubham Gaur, Nikhil Vijay, Ahsaas Channa and Ayushi Gupta of the show have given us a whole lot of hilarious scenes making for a highly entertaining watch. But was it all fun and frolic even while shooting?
When asked Ahsaas Channa, who plays Akanksha in the series, she said, “In one of the episodes, I have a whole monologue in, it’s one scene. The first time I got the script, I saw it and was a little nervous and scared. That’s my usual reaction to monologues. So yeah that was the most difficult scene for me, but I think in my opinion, it was the best scene also at the same time. Because when we were done, it came out really well. I haven't seen it, but when we were shooting and after I finished it, I felt good about it.”
Ayushi Gupta, who plays Nabomita in the series, added, “There's a scene in Season Two where Nabomita faces heartbreak. I think that was a little emotional for me to create that whole space, and sort of go back to your college heartbreaks, or just heartbreaks in general. I think that was a little emotionally draining for me.”
Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF) and directed by Amir Musanna and Sangram Naiksatam, written by Harish Peddinti, Saurabh Khanna, Suprith Kundar, Hostel Daze Season 2 chronicles the journey of the juniors who are now seniors and the new madness that unfolds in the new semester.
So, fasten your seatbelts, because our heart is only going to get a whole lot of emotional moments, filled with happiness and drama as this show will release on July 23, 2021 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
